Cookie policy

Effective from: 7 October 2026Version 4

Introduction

Cookies and local storage help the site remember sign-in, choices and preferences. This policy also explains server-side measurement and content from external providers, beyond cookies alone.

What a cookie is, and what else is stored

A cookie is a small value the browser may send to the server with later requests. Local storage (localStorage) stays in the browser and is not sent automatically; site code can read it and use your saved choices.

Besides cookies, the site sometimes keeps preferences in the browser's own storage (for example the accessibility tools you turned on), and sometimes on our server (for example anonymous counting). The table below says where each item is kept.

Your choice

Beyond the essentials, nothing is collected until you consent.

On your first visit a bar appears where you can accept everything, reject everything, or choose category by category.

Your choice is kept for 365 days, and you can change it at any moment through "Manage consent" at the bottom of the page.

If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal, we honour it and do not count.

Refusing measurement and partner counting does not prevent browsing, searching or using your account. Embedded content requiring consent may remain blocked; you can choose to load it separately.

Open consent settings in the footer of any page, choose categories and save again. Withdrawing consent stops future measurement; it does not automatically delete data already collected or cookies on external sites. Personal-data deletion requests can be submitted on the privacy page.

The categories

Necessary storage supports sign-in, security, your privacy choice and functions you request, such as remembering a search, a trip draft or accessibility preferences. It cannot be disabled in the consent panel, but can be deleted in your browser.

  • Essential - Sign-in, language and security - the site does not work without them
  • Preferences and embedded content - Remember recent searches and load external content, such as maps and videos, after approval
  • Measurement - Counts of views and searches without an account link; search text can contain details you enter
  • Partners - Counting clicks on affiliate links

The full list

The list below describes the items configured on the site. External providers may change their cookie names; changes in use or providers will be reflected in the policy and consent request as needed.

The periods in the table apply to each item individually. Local items without an expiry remain until deleted; cookies may expire on their set dates. A new privacy choice replaces the previous one.

Server-side measurement includes counts of views, searches and clicks without linking them to an account. Search text may nevertheless contain personal information you enter; avoid entering contact details or sensitive information in the search field.

Managing cookies in your browser

Browser settings let you clear cookies and local storage for this domain alone. This may sign you out, delete drafts and search history, and show the consent panel again. A trip saved in your account remains on the server until you delete it or your account data.

Local storage is shared by people using the same browser profile. Searches and drafts may contain personal information, so on a shared computer consider clearing site data after use. Signing out does not necessarily clear all local storage.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the essential cookies will affect how the site works - for example signing in to your account.

Other parties' cookies

The following providers may use cookies when their tool loads on this site after consent, or when you visit their site:

  • Booking partners - Booking links to external sites; after following a link, the partner may receive your network address and information you provide. Local click counts are aggregate.
  • Google Analytics - Measuring how the site is used: pages, searches and clicks, without name or contact details

Embedded content (maps) loads only after consent, and only then may its provider set cookies of its own.

Opening a booking, navigation, WhatsApp or other external link takes you to another service, which can receive information such as your IP address and request details. That service’s cookies and policy apply after you open it. Changing consent here does not change your choices there.

Rights and contact

Your rights and how to exercise them are set out in the privacy policy.
